Privacy Policy
Last updated 18 June 2026
Guitar Tab Sync is built to keep your practice on your device. We don't run accounts, we don't profile you, and we don't operate servers that collect or store your personal information. This policy explains the little that does happen.
What stays on your device
Everything you create or import lives locally in the app on your iPad or iPhone and is not sent to us:
- The songs, tabs, and chord text you paste or import
- Copies of audio files you add from your own library
- Your sync points, loops, regions, and app settings
If you delete the app, this content is removed with it. We never receive it.
Connections the app makes
The app reaches the internet only to work with the YouTube lesson you choose:
- Video details. When you add a YouTube link, the app asks YouTube's public oEmbed service for that video's title and channel name, so it can label the lesson for you.
- The video player. YouTube lessons play inside Google's official embedded YouTube player. That playback is governed by Google's and YouTube's own terms and privacy policy, and Google may set cookies and show ads exactly as it does on YouTube. See the Google Privacy Policy.
What we don't do
- No accounts or sign-in.
- No analytics or tracking SDKs of our own.
- No advertising that we control, and no selling or sharing of personal data.
- No access to your microphone, camera, contacts, or location.
Children
Guitar Tab Sync is a general-audience music tool and isn't directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect information from children. Note that the embedded YouTube player is Google's, and YouTube has its own age and content policies.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
